Bamboo is a very special plant for its characteristics, very versatile because it can derive from it many things. An important sector in which bamboo is very active is that of energy, as the characteristics of bamboo chips have many resources. Several studies have also been done to produce high quality cellulose, you can produce up to a ton of cellulose thanks to bamboo milk.

The most important study was also made on the issue of carbon dioxide capture by bamboo plants compared to the others; the goal is also to create large carbon tanks that can sequester carbon dioxide from the environment and incorporate it into the carbon contained in plants. The big goal of these plantations will therefore be to produce carbon credits, which will be aimed at polluting companies and need to include these carbon credits in their sustainable budget. 


Bamboo is a crucial element in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A grove of bamboo release 35% more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees.

Carbon represents a thousand tons of carbon dioxide seized.. The functions of bamboo plantations are different, thanks to its 1500 applications including to sequester ten times as much as the other plants CO2; in addition it can be used to make building material or packaging material; or build acoustic barriers to be used on the road.
